Life has a way of humbling you and reminding you of things you may have forgotten. One of those things is that there is still good people out there and it restores your faith a bit in humanity.
Earlier today while I took my dogs out for a walk on my lunch break from work, one of my neighbors surprised me by giving me a Christmas gift. Like I was literally shocked since I don't talk to this person and my dogs for some reason do not like his dog. When they see his dog they bark nonstop and sometimes I have to tell them to shut up, lol.
But seriously, there have been very few times in my life that I've been shocked and this was one of them. And it made my day cause work was really getting on my nerves and I was not in a really good mood. When I got back to my apartment I opened my gift and it was a scented candle. I so happen to love scented candles so this was perfect. I'll get my neighbor a thank you card cause that was very thoughtful of them and they have no idea how much that simple gesture meant to me.
I know my post today isn't very long but I felt like posting this hopefully it reminds someone that despite what's going on in this world, there is still good people out there and never forget to appreciate even the smallest acts of kindness shown.
